The poet e.e. cummings offered this advice to students but it applies to anyone who has ever found themselves in nature after putting aside what they’ve been told about nature: “Whenever you think or you believe or you know, you’re a lot of other people: but the moment you feel, you’re nobody-but-yourself.”
