A forest expedition in DRC, a melting future in Vienna, and a big pile of… well, you’ll have to scroll down and see for yourself. Here are a selection of images from Greenpeace work around the world this week.

🇩🇪 Germany – With an impressive projection in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Greenpeace brings the Amazon to the heart of Europe. Giant “Amazon” letters, currently travelling through major cities, become a shining symbol for the protection of the world’s largest rainforest.

Accompanied by moving messages, video projections, and the voices of indigenous representatives, the campaign calls for urgent climate justice and consistent forest protection—in the run-up to the historic COP30 world climate conference in Belém, Brazil.

🇦🇹 Austria – In the centre of Vienna, Greenpeace Austria commissioned ice sculptors to create a seven-metre-wide ice sculpture spelling “ZUKUNFT” (FUTURE). As the sculpture melted under the sun, it sent a clear message: our future is slipping away.

🇨🇲 Cameroon – Greenpeace Africa joined local and Indigenous communities for the Forest Cultural Show (Indigenous People’s Day celebration) in Yaounde, to learn how they protect their environment, share their cultures, and chart sustainable solutions for the future. Together, they marked Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Greenpeace Africa documented how the communities apply ancestral knowledge and traditional practices to protect the forest and peatlands they depend on.

🇫🇷 France – Protest against the large-scale Rassemblement National / National Rally (French far-right party) meeting in Bordeaux. Among the anti-National Rally protesters gathered at Place de la Bourse were unions, left-wing parties, feminist and environmental groups, surrounded by a heavy police presence.

🇨🇩 Democratic Republic of the Congo – Greenpeace Africa joined local and Indigenous communities of Lokolama, Penzélé and Mbandaka in the Congo Basin forest, to learn how they protect their environment, share their cultures, and chart sustainable solutions for the future. Together they marked Indigenous People’s Day. Greenpeace Africa documented how the communities apply ancestral knowledge and traditional practices to protect the forest and peatlands they depend on.

🇺🇸 USA – Greenpeace activists dumped a giant pile of manure at New York’s Charging Bull statue to call out meat giant JBS. The protest highlighted how the company, linked to deforestation and climate destruction, has now been included in major U.S. share indexes — meaning people’s pensions and investments could now fund JBS without them even knowing. The message was clear: JBS doesn’t stand for a sustainable future. J-B-S stands for one thing only: Just. Bull. Shit.

🇪🇸 Spain – Greenpeace Spain unfurls a giant banner with the slogan “Zero prevention + climate crisis = destruction” in Palacios de Jamuz (León) to demand that 2025 be a turning point in the fight against large forest fires.
