The average retail price for home heating oil on September 9 was $3.46 per gallon. That’s down 13.3 cents from our last published price on August 12, based on the residential heating fuel survey by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Heating oil prices in the New England region were $3.41 per gallon, down 10.5 cents from August 12. Heating oil prices will be published monthly from April to September.
