Valentina Beghetto Associated Professor at Department of Molecular
Sciences and Nanosystems of the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice. She
has a master’s degree in industrial chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry.
She is responsible for technology transfer and public engagement for her
department. She has been awarded 5 Innovation Awards at EU level for
technology transfer and sustainable chemistry. She has over 100
publications, patents, and congress communications. Expert in polymer
chemistry, bio-mass derived polymers, leather chemistry, waste and
biowaste upcycling, fine chemicals synthesis, she teaches Polymer
Chemistry, Chemistry for the Leather Industry, Flavor and Fragrances for
bachelor’s and master’s degree students in Sustainable Chemistry.
Coordinator of a research group of 15 people, she has been awarded over
20 Eu, National and Regional financed projects on Environmentally
sustainable processes/products and Circular Economy for the
Manufacturing industry.She is founder of Crossing Ltd, an SME
spinoff of the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice, specialized in green
chemistry and technology transfer for the implementation at industrial
