Climate scientists and health experts agree: carbon pollution is dangerous. Our governments at every level need to cut it faster to help slow the climate crisis.
We all see the climate impacts happening across our country. Sweltering heat waves, wildfires, extreme weather, and deadly flash floods, all made worse by ongoing fossil fuel pollution.
Yet, instead of rising to the challenge, the Trump administration is working to eliminate the federal government’s ability to fight climate change altogether. Our friends at Earthjustice are gathering signatures for a public comment period happening right now—can you add your name today?
Tell the EPA not to ditch protections to our air and climate
By falsely claiming that carbon pollution does not put us in danger, President Trump’s EPA is hoping to cancel its own authority to protect communities from the pollution caused by power plants, vehicles, and oil and gas drilling. This move by EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin would be incredibly damaging to our nation’s ability to tackle the climate crisis.
Washington and Oregon are committed to continue making progress toward a cleaner energy future. This effort will take all of us—every community, and every level of government, working together to make true, lasting change. We need federal officials to work with us, not against us! That’s why this move by the Trump administration is so dangerous. Add your name today to speak out:
Tell the EPA not to walk away from its responsibility on climate
While the daily news of federal rollbacks and attacks on all we hold dear can feel overwhelming, I find hope and renewed tenacity for what we are able to still do at the state and local levels to accelerate clean energy solutions and to make sure the Pacific Northwest remains a beacon of hope. We appreciate all you do to help us make that vision a reality.
Now more than ever, we must take care of each other, and take care of our collective home.
Thank you for taking action today, and for staying vigilant.
