2024 was the warmest year in recorded history, according to the World Meteorological Association, and the first to breach the Paris Accord’s 1.5℃ (2.7℉) target necessary to limit the negative consequences of Climate Change. With fires raging in Los Angeles and having seen 61,685 wildfires burn more than 8.85 million acres of U.S. land last year, it’s time to recognize that there is nowhere to hide from the consequences of fossil fuels and wasteful living. It’s time to acknowledge the world is changed, and that the time for action is now, or we all face greater losses, greater strife, and the conflict between humans that comes with decreasing resources.
